I could get 900km easy out of my d2 td5 , and same in my Ranger.

unless you're driving in large circles in the wilderness you will never need 1500km range in Australia again.

You may not need 1500k range but I would love to have that range for the fuel savings!

My combined range is about 460k.

    Buy a d3.
    Don't bother thinking about gas,
I know nothing about d2 performance but did have a quick v8 d1 and a quick d1 diesel, yes I did say quick, but my diesel d3 would leave a d1 v8 for dead,
No need for gas, it is cheap to fuel.
But this is off topic, I can understand resellers dropping a non profit product, like how long since you have seen a garage, not just a service station?
    What's a garage, I hear you say.

Dreaming if you are implying anything about D2's or you are suggesting there is no point having a gassed D2.... My d2 4.6 high comp on lpg is quicker than the 2.7 Tdi. I wouldnt pit it against a 3.0 TT though...

Mate the D1 V8 is not as quick as a D2 V8 stock v stock. I have driven plenty of both an still own a healthy D1 3.9.

Besides which why would i want a D3 when i have a full fat D2...

Dont assume that everyone wants the new shape.

    they're not even service stations.

petrol stations where you can buy bread milk newspaper iced coffee and dry crusty pies.

there's a garage in Longreach with full driveway service , lubritorium(remember that one?)and service bay...it's a BP btw.

It's also one of the cheapest in town.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Towing,it would be very handy,the 150litres,I mean.

Not the 1500ks,as you wouldn't be getting 10l/100k with a few ton hanging off the rear.
