LPG has come a long way from the 70's when taxis used to have the tank on a couple of roof racks (think surfboard roof racks) on the roof and the tank used to go rolling down the road after any minor nose to tail, etc.

Some have around 160 or 180litres.

    Not real safe,you would think.

I was just about to remove my LPG tanks for the following 3 reasons:

    1) my LPG is not working and I don't want to spend anymore money on it.
    2) having to plan fuel stops and carrying jerry cans just in case.
    3) the price of petrol is now cheap and LPG is still about 70c per litre.

But, I filled up my wife's car with petrol yesterday and the price of petrol was $1.29 per litre! Thought it might have been just that servo but no, every one I passed yesterday was the same price.

So I guess I'll be fixing the LPG system or was yesterday's petrol prices just the high end of the petrol price cycle?

I was driving around Melbourne on the weekend. ULP was almost 130cpl.
Locally, it skyrocketed to 108cpl. Up 4c.
    Beaufort is still 100cpl.

Three weeks ago I was (unfortunately) in the world's most liveable city and a servo in Templestowe had LPG @ 69 cents/l. Other places were 59, it was school holidays.

Anywhere on the same Sunday on the southeast side of Geelong it was 49. I'm currently paying 47.9, stable for the last couple of weeks.

Paying 98 cpl for diesel for the tractor atm too.

I have run premium in the Disco since it was new. So for me the savings on LPG have always been there. In my area LPG is just over half the price of premium unleaded.

    Cheers
