    World Land Speed Record Attempt.

I know Ross and have followed his endeavours for years.

He has an unbeatable attitude to not only life but to everything he attempts.

And he nearly always has that smile going.

I was reading his latest news and thought maybe some Aulro members may have an interest in what Ross is up to.....

All I can say is that the driver of this machine must be very courageous?

I had heard of this, wondering where they are going to do the runs?
I don't see anywhere on the website that says this?

The Bloodhound seem to be further ahead with their project, but have more $$$ and backing

One of their aims is to set an Australian Land Speed Record so I guess it will be at least tried here (Lake Gairdener?)

    yeah Pickles , he's a nut, a total larrakin , but a hell of a likeable one.

he once had a rocket motorcycle but authorities wouldn't even let him demonstrate it on a drag strip.

Hay Ewe , they still haven't decided where the attempt will be , but it appears to favour Lake Gairdner at this point.......a huge amount of infrastructure is needed just to prepare the track for a run.

If you look at the website for the Bloodhound, there are many write ups, one if this is about their selection for the Haarkensokp (something like that) plain in South Africa, and all the preparation of the strip.

I think it is 400meters wide, 25km long and they are pretty much grading it by hand!
