    good on her. I've never known anything different. It will come as quite a shock when she goes, for all sorts of reasons. I think a big part of her success has been not to do interviews, so I think she comes across as quite neutral as you don't really know what she really thinks. Ideal as head of state for me.

    i think she's the best head of state any country can ask for.
    when her reign ends, will we keep the monarchy?

    Worth remembering that at the end of WW2 she was an army driver - the vehicles she drove then would be quite similar to a Landrover to drive except that the Defender pictured in this clip has more synchromesh and more power!

    I don't believe so, but there would certainly have been a fair bit of mechanical knowledge covered in a 1940s army driver training course.
