Nope, he did have the flu.
The supposed 'shot' he reserved for OD was normally used for an opiate. There may have been a legitimate reason for it though, he was a fairly strictly practicing JW.

I don`t know what he was ailing from, but it has been said that his health had been in decline in recent years. So maybe suffering from some illness that he chose not to disclose and it finally got the better of him?
Prince was certainly a great all round musician that will be missed.

Possibly prescription painkillers, combined with epilepsy medication, maybe some other underlying symptoms compounding things. Time will tell. He's always seemed to be a frail fella.
