    Very sad news, one of my all time favorite artists.

    Despite his fame and fortune, he never got caught up on all the celebrity hype, living and recording everything in his home town. All around nice guy with soooo much musical talent.

    I didn't go much on him I'd have to say but you have to admire the way the man could make a guitar behave and he was certainly a good showman

    Sadly it will be one less guitar that weeps...

    57 years of age is waaayyy to young to die. I loved some of his songs..."Purple Rain", "1999", "Little Red Corvette" etc.

    David Bowie many years ago said that "Little Red Corvette" was one of his three most favourite songs. I guess they can discuss it now.
