See if you can get a copy of Kurt Johannsens's book 'A son of the red centre' before you visit the RTHOF. The bloke's story is amazing and you'll get more out of the displays of his stuff at the museum if you know about it beforehand. I'm sure as a mechanic you'll find it fascinating.

We have had the earliest break from what I can remember down here.Its been winter since easter,green grass everywhere,many farmers are almost finished seeding,they dont even start until about now if they are lucky or dry seed.
Im trying to get 5km of road built,tar is coming tuesday,LOTS of work to do in the next week,rain has been in our favour so far,only lost 2 days due to being too wet.Dont want much more rain now,showers forecast all week.My garden is loving it:):):):):):):):)

Hey Andrew, I have joined your union as of last week. Fire breaks had to be cleaned here at NRTHoF, so muggins was nominated to volunteer Machine on site is 1938 CAT Model 12 , interestingly has US7 stamped on plate....i am wondering if that means the 7th fleet ? anyway i had to sit on the wheel for a few minutes to remember how to start the old thing. All good, after a minor service and a length of rope ,had 2 cyls smokin then another 6 and a couple of miles of firebreak done.
So now then ,do want to swap the new grader you posted about last year?
