    Over here,and I thought it was nation wide you can be expected to provide photo proof age ID when buying from any licensed premesis.
    Just because you are driving that vehicle dont mean you are old enough too.
    They are still buying from a licensed shop,coke,potatoe chips,water,smokes you have to be of legal age,they dont need ID at a 711

    Big retailers have a ID check policy if you look under 40.
    It's also a KPI to check a min number of ID's in a shift relative to number of sales.

    Finally, it's the clerk's job, give him a break. Why is this even a problem?! If you are super offended, shop elsewhere. Simples.

    When I was 21 I was asked for ID when buying a round of drinks at the Sail and Anchor.I told the young barmaid I had been drinking here since I was 16,Im now 21 and this is the first time Ive ever been asked for ID.I still had to show my ID

    hes buying at a licensed premises the checkout dude did his job. Im not sure what the problem is.

    I get asked for Id when I roll through our local bottleshop and I know all of the staff at the shop because thats where I do the pickup from for one of the social clubs at work.

    Apparently Jewish is hereditary. If your old man's about, take a look ... there's your end up.

    I understand why strict ID policy is the norm at bottle shops but they would let Jason Alexander (pictured above) buy booze without question because they know the police aren't gonna get them on that sale. Same goes for anyone buying a bag of frozen water, surely!!
