Yes it is a health risk. Some people will be made to blush and others could have heart flutters.

Really though, if you think a Company, Organisation or Government, is doing something wrong or harmful, you should start a petition on Change.org. Then you can test your opinion against that of the general public. More petitions succeed than fail.

If any one came up to my kids on the street and started telling them some of the messages written on the vans I'd punch them in the balls.

That they daub their vehicles with this stuff and expect them to be on public roads means that they are very happy for kids to have these massage put to them.

I don't think that's acceptable.

Seriously how many times to you actually come across one of these cars???

My kids have never asked about the slogans.....some are funny....some maybe over the top il it it's literally a split second of your life.....I reckon I see more offensive t-shirts than wicked vans....and I do a fair number of kilometers on the road for work.

A little while ago one slogan did created a conversation with my 16yo.....We had a good discussion about the topic and I think he is a little wiser.....

The problem with the Wicked vans is that there is no discrimination- everyone they drive in front of gets to see what is written. The hirer/driver has little control of this.

If the driver/hirer doesn't care, then that says something about his/her character, and attitude to others. The caravan park owner has a choice of banning such vehicles and thereby exercising freedom to discriminate as to the circumstances in which such statements are acceptable- but this will cost some trade. Likewise, the hirer/driver has a choice as to whether to hire such a vehicle- but this may cost access to some campsites.

I don't think this is the place for legislation- but it is the place for a community movement to advocate for people not to associate with such tourists. If enough park owners remove access- then the van company will modify their slogans.

Personally, I found some of their early efforts quite funny, but lately they have just become crude and offensive. I certainly wouldn't hire one.

Living on a highway on a major tourist route we see lots of them here heading too and from Albany.
I dont find them offensive,I can understand those with children not liking them.
Saw one today with,I have an extremely small penis,only has to satisfy me on the doors.
I would be more concerned about the road worthiness of the vehicles and the state to drive of the driver(drugs and alcahol).Pretty sure the local lawmen give them the once over if they spot them

Kind of going around and around aren't we. I and many other people find these words on these vans offensive. Full stop. I wish the company well as an entity however i just wish they would do it differently perhaps going back to the witty and colourful graphics and aiming for a better/ different demographic .

I will continue to voice my disgust publicly in this 'nanny state'

That is exactly what happens with such things- starts off with someone 'trying it on' and nobody objects. So they get incrementally more offensive (they would probably say 'edgy' or 'daring') until what was unthinkable becomes commonplace. Good on this bloke for saying 'too far'. Not all of us have direct control of a (relatively- i.e. business car park) public space to be able to set such limits.
Another example of gradual decline in standards of public decency; over the past few years it has become commonplace for a certain type of 'man' to pull over and urinate on the side of the highway in full view of passing traffic. I am unhappy that my wife and daughters have to witness this when we are driving. Perhaps it's time to intervene on this one- any suggestions?
