I needed to hire a camper to drive around Europe a few years back. Because of the way Wicked Campers were painted out they got crossed of the list regardless of price. Wouldn't be seen dead in one.

It's hardly an appropriate attitude to be exposing children to, Australia already has a pretty horrendous attitude towards women. We don't need to worsen that for the sake of appealing to a few 'edgy' teenagers who want to smoke pot in the back of a clapped out camper.
    Stick it to 'em JC

While I don't care either way on the campers campaign, it's a bit far to say Australia has a horrendous attitude to women. Yep I hear it said and written across all media, but I don't see it in reality (and disgraced sporting stars worshipped by media and the blind masses don't represent 'Australia').

I have a wife, mother and daughter, I don't hold any opinions on what men and women can or can't do, I tell my daughter she can be what she wants and dispel stereotypes that arise from school. I'd be the first to stick it to a bloke for displaying a 'horrendous attitude to women' as you put it, but I haven't had an opportunity.

We do have a horrendous attitude to balanced and responsible media publications, but that's a minority controlling what we discuss on 'social' media.

I hope all is good with you Muppet, regarding any exposure to horrendous attitudes, I hope you haven't had a bad experience, maybe I'm wrong, but 'overall' excluding the alcohol affected communities and marginalized cultural enclaves that ignore Australian laws and values, Australia as a whole isn't horrendous. All societies will have their non-conformers.

    End rant

Vote with your feet and your wallet.
We all need to have our values challenged occasionally.
If Kids understand what the slogans mean then perhaps that little bit of their innocence is already gone.

I thought they had been put out of business, far to many unroadworthy vehicle's. We used to see heaps here in Darwin but I haven't seen 1 for ages.

Personally I think all the sports bet rubbish that's on just about every channel and every free to air sports broadcast is far worse than anything I have read on a wicked van. Different thread for that perhaps.

    Cheers Ean

A very welcome post JC. I am another who finds offensive things offensive. I would like to see the caravan parks and camping grounds ban this company's vehicles, their customer base would soon disappear if they find they can't get a campsite or park the thing where they want to go. I certainly prefer not to share space with mobile billboards that are intentionally offensive.

How about a movement to paint these things over in a drab, boring colour whenever they are parked.
