    Idyits Cheesy Booz Revuus

After having read of Naked Wines Australia in a thread by the most refined gentleman, the Toxic Avenger, I was compelled to sign up.

Today 12 bottles of Australia's finest fermented Grape product arrived.

Along with a lovely Cheese Board

Sitting aside my Cup-O-Chino I contemplated the best way to share the appreciation of such fruits of Aussie Vintners.

So here it is boys and girls! The Idyits Cheesy Booz Revuus thread...

Feel free to post your review of your forays into the subjective and intoxicating world of Wine, and any accompaniments you partake in during your tastings Idyits Cheesy Booz Revuus

Good sir, allow me to post some of my tasting notes from a distant evening's tastings...

    Gossips 2016 Shiraz
It was a quiet night in conservatory, so glancing up from my copy of the financial review, I decided to pour myself a tipple of the 2016 vintage gossips shiraz.
The pour was light in hue, with the uxuriousness of purple velvet, lavender and that colour that the artist formally known as prince used to wear.
The nose was crisp with blackcurrant, earth tones and a slight waft of bleached underpants.
Upon tasting, it was unmistakenably up to the same standard of the entire gossips marque- the in the fore-pallette, there is the fierce blast of blackcurrant with a light, yet almost non-existent tannin mouthfeel. The flavour developed into the characteristic left-hook that only a $5 bottle of wine can deliver- with just enough ethanol to tell the taste buds that it's there, but not enough to push it into a tax bracket to make it unattainable for the common-man.
Unfortunately, against the spirit of the general populus to which this product is pitched, I set aside the meth pipe for another evening. Perhaps next time I shall get the 'full experience'

I give gossips a solid 14/100 for their creative interpretation of the shiraz variety.

Yep. One has to keep an eye on what the blasted iPad changes. Some of its corrections are really weird.

Gossips used to be OK. I used to buy a bit of it. For an even cheaper wine from Warburn Estates, try their Rumours.

I've wondered if the wine names come from the alleged link to the murder of anti-drugs campaigner, Donald Mackay in Griffith.

I must admit, I have tried Rumouors.
Rumour has it James Halliday is witholding his review so as to not 'let the cat out of the bag' (or so I'm told).

I was put onto it by a 16 year old mother of 5 who had just asked me for small change outside the local Centrelink.
Lacking change at the time, I gave some life advice: 'work hard, and be good to your mother'. Apparently the suitable response to sage advice is "**** off you creep!"

    Speaking of wine:
I once won a bottle of Grange!
I very carefully stored it for 4 or 5 years.
Then got terribly drunk with a mate one night &
    DRANK it!
Was so drunk I could not tell you if the stuff is worth all the Hype or not?
