    Same same same

It is starting to wear thin when choices of various goods become so limited. Tried to get some fish for my little aquarium , but after multiple calls about the usual response was sorry but we do have the usual stuff. Same with trying to find some pot hangers. Seems a simple wire loop and hook is no longer available but I can buy a system of self watering haging and who knows what else it can do. Then if I turn on the radio every song on sounds like the previous. I thought we were living in a consumers paradise and all our retail outlets had the goods we want. End of spleen venting !

It's like every thing these days. Heading towards the lowest common denominator.

Did you know that Kraft no longer make Braised Steak & Onion (called Pal in this household), it, with a slice of plastic cheese was the best thing for making toasted sangers.

Does anyone remember bully beef, Australian Army ration style, still worth good money in some Asian countries ?
Used to take a cuppla cans bushwalking in remote areas as a kid (Dad learned of its blissful benefits patrolling in PNG after the war) to have as a 'fresh food' treat with brown rice every second or third day.
Proper solid tack, full of fat and bits of unidentifiable animal cardiovascular and connective tissue. Proper tin with an opening key and a paper label, no pooncey expiry date.
It's been sold off and renamed and given a shiny painted label complete with neurotic expiry date and nutrients list ....
Next thing they'll be making Landrovers with electric windows and air conditioning and no oil leaks ...
