I enjoyed it. Average speed was between 10 -15 mph so I had no bother keeping up with the main convoy! Still it is not everyday that you can be in a line of traffic basking in the knowledge that your series 111 is the fastest vehicle there !
Tractor people are as capable and as willing to talk about their machines as are Land Rover people. I specifically said "tractor people" as it was not all males involved. There were some girls there, some women there, and some "female types" who appeared to be perfectly capable of effecting an engine swap in the series 111 without having recourse to a workshop and it's lifting gear! Formidable indeed. Roll on the next one...nothing like being allowed out to live on the edge now and then!
