RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
It was done 65 years ago with a fleet of London double-decker buses.
The buses were all attached to each other by slack ropes so each started moving separately.
If my memory serves, the thirtieth bus stalled the Land Rover. (or 'Landrover' in those days)
Not a bad effort, considering it does not have low range.

Needs to be remembered that it does not take much effort to move rail cars due to very low rolling resistance . be a different story if the rail wagons were on normal car tyres . But must admit it looks good .
Be interesting to see how the towbar would work with a bit of red dust in it.
Probably like the Toureg electric spare tyre carrier catch. ie Not.
