    Okay we resume our journey

I went back into the office sweat pouring from my brow and I approached the parcel that seemed so evil, so so dangerous and yet so inviting!

I moved up and I pushed the button on the chest, pushing with little force, hovering over the button slowly I pushed it more in, more pressure, waiting for the click..... for the big loud boom ......all with the bright flash,

immediately a bright flash emanated from the desk...I was stunned, blinded but no pain??? .was I dead now?

No, it was the torches fitted to Darth Vader's feet!! so it appears it wasn't a booby-trap!

In came the Sergeant , glad to have his office back so he could begin the assault on the mountain of paperwork that built on this desk, I started removing the suit although full of sweat it was completely undamaged by the events.

It was time to head home, the day was ending, the sun was beginning to set and I started to feel as if maybe this was the end to everything that had been happening....

Without thinking I stopped outside the post office, I walked slowly, innocently without even reflecting on past events along with the Rows and Rows of post boxes. Some of them have been polished so they were easier to find, and others had the numbers coloured in, but the others, like mine, had been left with the natural Pateena of life and a little rubbing around the corner and the keyhole where it was checked four or five times a week.

I walked straight to the box, it sits at head height, anonymous barring the engraved number on the front. With a steady completely unprepared hand I inserted the funny shape key they had given me... Slowly I turned the key and when I opened the door...

It was obvious that it was set up to explode out as soon as the door reached a certain point, it scared the... Well it scared me a bit...

I hit The opposite wall as i dived to the side and avoided the projectile coming towards me, I didn't move quick enough and it hit me In the shoulder, I was on the ground, sore from hitting the wall, I looked around, relieved no one was there although if the review the footage theyll probably get a laugh

I picked up the projectile, it was a postcard

I thought I was a bit silly, the postcard appeared to have a very happy picture on the front showing it was from Australia I turned it over thinking of all the people I knew who had recently gone away on holidays and as I read it my blood went cold .

The post by shirtings had now became postcard shootings (as in postcard shooting out of the PO Box at me )

    When will it end?

Copies for the Evidence Photos will follow soon.....

I was livid I didn't know what to do, I sat on the ground and held my head in my hands....

Time passed, like a bus passes an empty bus stop, it didn't slow for no one...

I am reassessing the investigation... I could handle it before but then I didn't know what (post) cards would be dealt...

I collected all of the other mail from the jammed postbox as I walked away, As I slip through the bills, invites, hardware store brochures and saw something that chilled me to the bone again... A card placed in the post office box by the post office staff to tell me there was a package waiting .....

What will happen to our favourite post office user?

Will he collect the parcel that is waiting?

Will he send his wife ( the minister for war and finance ) to collect it instead? ( the chicken!)

Will he get his haircut? Will he stop wearing the I'm Jeff Stevens t shirt long enough for it to be washed?

Find out soon in the next instalment entitled " the next instalment". Coming soon

Well, another day passes and still no updates, I'm getting bored. Here I am, shorter of breath and one day closer to death and there's still no update to this 'thriller'.
If I hadn't spent the past week at at work literally watching paint dry I'd go and do that
    Come on digger, more updates!
