Length is the same. 2-door has longer front doors. Rear seats in 2-door located further back if I recall correctly.

OK,so am looking at a rangie and was just wondering ,apart from the obvious ,what is the difference between a two door and a four door rangie,is there a length difference or anything else?

 ok ,so if the doors are longer on the two door ,do they have a problem with hinge pin wear on the door hinges like the old two door falcons/panel vans/utes?
any other probs/differences or peculiarities with rangies, particularly 86 model injection models that pre warning may help prepare for would be greatly appreciated
I had my 2 door 20 years without any problems with the doors, no sagging or wear at all, closed very well.Originally posted by fernockulated

Rear seat in same position as four door btw as Ron thought (same depth in cargo space), only County/Defender had different seat position for like vehicle (County futher back - less rear load space).
The difference between '76 to '94 RR not immensley different other than door size, same comfort, same driving position, better handling later car (sway bar), other than obvious performance level, and gear changing better on newer gear box, 4 speed a bit truck like, 5 speed great by comparrison, thats about all I can remember about the old car now 8 years since have owned.

 will be both daily driver (work vehicle) so little johny can pay for running costs, and a weekend warrior as well ,although nothing radical planned at this stage .
vehicle that i am looking at is a86 fuel injection model, nothing flash,"poverty pack "as aquarangie calls it ,manual windows ,basic everything, which by my figuring is good as less lecktrickery to go fzzzt!! :?
All this is subject of course to me selling my series and the toyosan yoot
anyone want to put a starting bid on ebay for me?
Or 'dunga spec' as some LROC members put it Originally posted by fernockulated

Nothing wrong with std. spec Rangies, like you mentioned less crap top go wrong, but hi-lines are basic anyway except electric windows, mirrors and alloys plus ther wonderful armrests on the seats.
Trav
 it may be a basic or dunga pack ,but it is gunna be a "work" vehicle and it is speced up better than the tojo!!!!!!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8)
So true, anything is better than a Toyota (mabe that's stretching it a bitops: ).
Trav
Go a HiLine. I'd never have a vehicle without electric mirrors. The electric windows never gave me any problems on the HiLine.
