    The invasion has begun!

So I was out the front, warming the landy up for a bit of a sunday drive, when I noticed 2 young children loitering around. Typical symptoms: wandering aimlessly, looking down at their phones, pointing, periods of furiously tapping their phones...

    IT HAS BEGUN!!!

The Pokemon GO invasion has begun.
    Prepare yourself.
    Pikachu, I choose you.

Driving down to local Woolies today, had to stop while my 18 yo daughter caught some.
Then she showed me a post by her 21 yo brother. Apparently he couldn't sleep the other night, so he got up, left his flat and went to catch some in his local park at 2am. He was hailed by a couple of guys which worried him until they pointed out that he could get a particular one over there.
They then sat around on the park bench having a chat; as you do, in the early hours of the morning
Next a cop shows up, apparently two twenty somethings and a forty something hanging around in a park in the small hours is a bit suspicious - who would have known?
Took some time to explain what they were doing and convince him it wasn't a deal going down. Next out comes the cop's phone, so he can download the game!!

My daughter then showed me pictures from a gathering at the Opera House and Botanic Gardens today. There were hundreds of people, all ages concentrating on their phones trying to catch Pokemon.

I think the invasion is over and they have won
    Cheers
    Mike

I'd say that I assume you've heard of Pokemon but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if you hadn't Ron

It was a trading card game and TV show.
There's now a game app that has pokemon in random places and you have to go around and use the app to 'catch' them.

Yes its here alright, noticed the teenage kids from across the road doing the same, wandering around aimlessly, tapping their phones.

I suppose it keeps them out of trouble, but not off the streets.

I just hope they look left, then right, then left again before crossing the road.

I've heard of Pokemon but didn't know what it was. Google helped.
