Well I keep a tomcat poison block under the seats of my cars.......... I have a new problem. I have ratsack ........ But what I now need is catsack. Does anyone know where I can buy catsack ... there has been a bloody cat in my cars, and its put tow holes in the back seat. FFS: I can't even park cars in my shed without them getting damaged.
seeya,

I hear engine coolant does the trick and they just luuuuv it.
Personally I won't use anything that contains brodifacoum which has a really long half life in mammals.
AFAIK birds of prey can eat enough rats killed with this over a period of time and end up with a lethal concentration.
Have found a couple of dead swamp harriers on my 10 acres in the last year.
Remember that less birds of prey means less mouse and rat predation.
I use the blue oats with pindone which works in the same way but has a much, much shorter half life in the body of the problem. Sometimes enhanced with cooking oil, etc. Works really well.
cheers, DL
When I was an apprentice out at Winton in the late 1950's we used open top drums 2/3 filled with water and a generous layer of chook or goat pellets floating on top with a plank up to the lip from the ground. Rodents run up the plank and jump in to eat the lovely feed. Sink and drown. Does need emptying regularly or it gets a bit ripe.
Lotsa big tough guys killing tiny rodents.. Power, people. Tough you are. Not.
These tiny little rodents can cause untold damage to your house and its contents, Not to mention that they are a very real health risk.
I am sorry that it offends your sensibilities But I for one will continue to murder the little bastards to prevent the above happening to my place.
There was a piece in our local paper the other day about a surge in Owls being brought into local wildlife rescue centres, they present as lethargic by the side of the road, easily able to be picked up. 3 dead in the last two weeks alone, their organs shut down from eating baited mice etc.
I had one of those see-saw plastic type humane traps talked about further up the post, it was bright blue/yellow. Worked amazingly well.
