Low power BT is very short range..
I've tested these TrackRs and easily detect them from ~100mtrs in clear areas (line of sight)
In the house I can trigger them in the camper parked down the back at the workshop..

I use Tile, does the exact same thing. Picked up when someone walked passed my partner who was on a work trip in Melbourne and sent me an alert. Stalker:o
I like being able to find my phone or tablet within the house instantly by pushing the button on any of the keys. Handy if you're in a rush!
I'm trying to find a relatively inexpensive way to "Track" our work vehicle.
It would be in the local area of Doomadgee (I think, that's why I want to track it).
The old ute seems to take a long time to go to the dump etc & seems to use a fair bit of fuel doing it.
I would really like to know that when I send a staff member to X place that that is where they go & no where else.
Any suggestions?

Or if it has an OBD port go to EBay and search OBD GPS Tracker
