A brilliant idea, I just hope the eagles aren't injured by those rotors.

I read that story the other day. It seems that the Danish govt. are looking into Kevlar "gloves" for their talons to help protect them.

Earlier in the year I attended a talk by a commercial drone operator who was doing some mapping at the place I was working. He has had several drones destroyed by Wedge Tail Eagles. He reckoned that one in three flights in rural areas would involve an eagle 'encounter'. They don't seem to like drones very much!

Yes - I know some people who were doing some drone photography for a client on a minesite in the north west of WA who lost a rather expensive drone to a Wedge Tail Eagle "encounter".

Apparently the eagle brought the drone to the ground, and then tore it to shreds.
    Cheers .........

It's probably a territorial thing. They may see the drones as threats.
    Don.
