Just this afternoon at about 1230 im driving the s3 and cruising at 60 km. Aproaching a set of red lights, im slowing down, some idiot in the left lane decides that he can gain 2 car lengths by pulling out from stationary and into the lane im in. Right in front of me. I stop as quickly as i can, locking up a couple wheels and hit his car. Lucky for him, not me, he had a towbar which my roo bar hit at just the right height. No damage to me or him. I asked him calmly why he pulled out from the lane in front of me? He said he didnt see me. I said what about the big yellow thing i was driving with headlights on etc. Just got a sheepish look from the new Australian driver and shrugged shoulders. He tried to say it was my fault. I pointed to my gps and said it was a dash cam and id be handing the footage to the cops to let them decide. He got back into his car and drove off. Im wishing i hadnt hit the brakes so hard now😈.
Cheers Rod

I'm convinced people can't see silver cars. Today at Carrum Downs the same intersection that last week I had the red light crasher, today I am at same intersection and turning right again and stopped at the red light, on my left is the left slip lane to make left turns into Frankston- Dandenong road, well this woman is in the slip lane making the left turn and stops at the give way sign, but then decides that she no longer wants to go left anymore, so reverses back out of the slip lane, I am watching her getting closer and closer to my rear 1/4 panel, she isn't stopping, I hold my hand on the horn and finally she acknowledges that she is about to hit me.
not only do I need a dash cam, I need train air horns also.
Another thing every time I hit the horn button on the Rangie I end up changing the radio station also. Still got to get used to all these steering wheel buttons., with big hands
The number of times this happens is beyond belief. They don't realise that in the B-Double, by the time I've reacted, and the air brakes have come on over six axles of trailer i've already driven over the top of them. And they wonder why they get a blast of air horns. Sheesh.

Drove back to Doomadgee today, 10.5 hours of pretty much un-eventfulness except I had 2 clowns try to KILL me.
First was a tourist. Single lane with wide flat edges West of Georgetown. We are coming towards each other so I back off & move left with2 wheels on the dirt (standard procedure), but notice this bloke isn't moving off to his left? Flash my lights, slow up a bit more, nope he is going to stick to the middle of the paved road, so I go well left & it all turns out OK. This bloke gives me the middle finger as he goes past!
Can only figure he was having a real bad day.
Latter in the day, on good smooth dirt coming into the Alexandria River, see a Toyota ute coming down a track from the right, I know this track joins just before the causeway, so I keep on going & keep half an eye on him, suddenly I wake up he has not even looked in my direction & he is just going to just going to pull onto the "Hi-way". After much hard braking & a swerve to the left hand table drain I manage to miss him.
I don't think he saw me the whole time & didn't even know I was behind him until we crossed the Leichhardt River.
I figure 2 bits of fun in 10.5 hours is not that bad but you do have to keep your wits about you.

BTW Most trips are totally in-eventful & most other drivers are reasonably considerate.
Well the 2 Blackvues arrived in the mail toady, fast shipping within 24 hours! Mike at SportGPS was very quick to answer my numerous online inquiries. So I might be busy this weekend installing them![]()
This sort of thing happens all the time. As a motorcycle rider I am unamused....
Seems that running red lights is MUCH more common than it ever was....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
