    time is half the equation. not only does it need to last for 2hours+ but it needs to be able to put out 1000MW or possibly more

    100 MW HOURS people. The numbers mean nothing without knowing how long it can supply this for. A system like that can supply 1000MW, but just for 6 minutes.

    Probably still not much good for anything but an interesting idea and eventually storage will become part of our grid so someone has to be first.

    I'd take up the offer then make it just hard enough with red tape to make them take 101 days to get it on line so it's a freeby.

    Out of control fire inside Hazelwood Power Station

    An out of control fire is currently burning inside Hazelwood Power Station.
    It’s understood a boiler fire ignited inside the building about 9.00pm.
    6 trucks and emergency services are currently on the scene battling the blaze.
    More details as soon as available
