No-one is arguing the change over to this new "green" (cough!) technology.
What they're saying is Don't get rid of what you've got until you have the new gear in place, commissioned and proven..
That is the simple crux of it...
No knee jerk reactions.
No stop gap measures.
No temporary solutions.
But an effective strategy to operate current infrastructure whilst construction and implementation of new technology (distribution, storage and generation) is undertaken.
We can / could have ran the Northern Power station for another couple of years, implemented ALL the construction projects needed.. and been well ahead...
And just for the record - the "depleted" coal supply at Leigh Creek is a load of BS [emoji41]
