Nice rain storm here last night, place is looking very green now. The Outback still needs rain though.

Nice rainstorm just passed through, but storms are a bad way to try to harvest water.

Last night aprox. 2030 we went black, rcd an auto SMS from SA Power Networks which we subscribe to, to advise power would be back by 0830 this a.m. Ran SH ex Telecom Genny for a couple of hours then beddy byse.

Got up at 0300 to find our Mains indicator lamp on (denotes power from mains back on when switch is over to EMERG) Switched over from EMERG to MAINS & back to normal . Now cleaning up all the Ash Tree foliage/rubbish spread around the place.

Rainfall was 20mm from midnight.

We had a severe storm mid-morning and 15,000 homes were without power. OK now.

Still around 4800 customers across Adelaide without power. The wind and rain have finally eased. I'll do a bit of a cleanup tomorrow of fallen branches and stuff.

that was a pretty wild storm. sub tropical cyclone strength.

Had to get up early here in Yass to get 8yo grandkid to school for excursion at 0610 - 10C, wind about 20-25kts, raining!

Not just Power it seems, but also I keep hearing of telephone wires being brought down.

Going on our recent experience, Telstra might have them all repaired by Xmas if they are lucky. Possibly.
