Notice that the adults do not wear helmets and the motor scooter riders do not have helets on, only the kids in the vid have helmets on. 'With all their bike Related injuries' he talks about , wouldn't helmets be the first step?
Do they only have body injuries and not head trauma?

Technology is now so advanced and so far beyond a layperson's ability to understand it that I bet a lot of people watching that are convinced it is real until they see the message at the end.

    I got sucked in.

Aside from the fact it was a total fake of a video...

A large number of injuries are not head injuries and recent studies have shown most bicycle helmets cause more injury than they prevent.

For a normal person riding a normal type bike (not downhill racing for instance) not wearing a helmet isn't really an issue.

I know of all my friends who rode with me we never wore helmets and never suffered a blow to the head coming off the bikes - even at speed...

Personally, I think as an adult we should have the choice and the freedom.

Very different to a seat belt or motorcycle helmet as the average speeds are significantly higher...

Critics of helmets have been claiming that for a while, but the evidence doesn't support the claim.

Do cycling helmets save lives? Researchers reject doubters and say fatal injuries greatly reduced - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
A new study has put to bed the notion that helmets can make cycling injuries worse or prevent people from riding, researchers say.

The University of NSW study presented to an injury prevention conference in Finland this week showed helmets reduced fatal head injuries by about 65 per cent.
Helmets reduce head injury severity ? News in Science (ABC Science)
Bicycle riders without a helmet are almost six times more likely to suffer a severe head injury than a helmeted rider, a new Australian study shows.
The team found cyclists without helmets were 5.6 times more likely to suffer any head injury than cyclists wearing a helmet and 5.5 times more likely to suffer a severe head injury.
Bicycle Helmets | Australasian College of Road Safety
ACRS acknowledges that bicycle helmets substantially reduce the risk of head injury in a crash. This is shown by biomechanical and epidemiological evidence.
Several scientific studies have now been conducted into the effectiveness of bicycle helmets. They are known to reduce the risk of severe head injury by at least one third, and up to 85%. Those who do not wear helmets are several times more likely to sustain injury to the brain tissue than do riders who do.
