    I think the 19j Turbo Diesel and early TDi's were a sort of red oxide colour,mbut then went to an off gloss black... Prob to hide the oil leaks!!

    I stand corrected.. A google search in images helped.. 2.5n/a and 19j TD are an off red oxide.. Early Tdi's are a weird gold colour and the rest are black.
