I got out of the crane and elevated work platform industry while the mining boom was still happening as I was doing more work on my time off!!

Although the boom has bust, you just need to see the amount of equipment sitting in hire yards and the amount of stuff at auctions to see this.... if you are good at what you do, you will always find work!

On the plus side of the drop in the mining boom, repairers such as myself have endless work... and I mean endless work, it seems people are holding onto their cars and doing more repair work. Honestly if I had the room for another mechanic that didnt need me to hold his hand I would offer you something, likely the way it is for me, this time next year I will need to be in a larger workshop, until then I have to plod along with the space I have.

If you want Land Rover work, call into Kev at Rovertech in Bentley, last time I spoke with Kev he had waaay tooo much work on.

I believe (cough, I know) there are some other Land Rover repairers north of the river, but honestly I dont know them and cant comment.....

As for the industrial stuff, there are heaps and heaps of places and all worth calling in and seeing who is looking....

    best of luck

    Regards

Why aren't you at work, bludger?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Plenty of Franna's running around so you should get some work. maybe do a search for Crane operators and start ringing as often they dont advertise. When I see Ray next will ask what is around.
    Cheers

If given the preference I prefer to work frennas and the smaller 8-12t mobile cranes (less sitting around waiting, more getting stuff lifted)

Im happy to travel anywhere thats reasonably close to public transport and as of yet havent picked a place to live other than at my parents place and maybe down in albany if a Job offer comes through.

Wyatts in geraldton was the first port of call on the way down. They want someone with dealership experience that LR Aust will recognise. so thats me out.

Rovertech was my first call in perth

I'll be looking at the guys NOR shortly.

Ive got a couple of other low level inquiries I just put on the stove to see what bubbles up I dont want to over commit just in case the appeal against the discharge comes through.
