Although the boom has bust, you just need to see the amount of equipment sitting in hire yards and the amount of stuff at auctions to see this.... if you are good at what you do, you will always find work!

On the plus side of the drop in the mining boom, repairers such as myself have endless work... and I mean endless work, it seems people are holding onto their cars and doing more repair work. Honestly if I had the room for another mechanic that didnt need me to hold his hand I would offer you something, likely the way it is for me, this time next year I will need to be in a larger workshop, until then I have to plod along with the space I have.

If you want Land Rover work, call into Kev at Rovertech in Bentley, last time I spoke with Kev he had waaay tooo much work on.

I believe (cough, I know) there are some other Land Rover repairers north of the river, but honestly I dont know them and cant comment.....

As for the industrial stuff, there are heaps and heaps of places and all worth calling in and seeing who is looking....

    best of luck

    Regards
    Daz

Dave, combine your passion for Land Rover and hooky things and go roughie.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

yeah, we all know whats going to happen then...

Receptionist "I'm sorry, you want a crane where to do an engine lift"
Customer on phone "blahh blah lat xyz long abc"
Receptionist "I'm just googling that, can you give me a nearest cross street?"
Customer "no, its litterally a bush track in the middle of nowhere and thats the generous description of it"
Receptionist "I'm sorry but I dont think we can get a crane out that far, it'd be at least a 5 day drive and it looks like its very poor conditions, we dont have an operator insane enough to even think abou..."
Boss "Farey, Got a job for ya,"
    Dave

    Should up date.

have respsones to job offers Ive called up about.

    have offers of accomodation.

    making plans and settling in.

I've even received 2 cold calls asking me to come and work but they were both of a start now pay for your training and you can start with this company for a pittance on a casual wage.

The calls that have been returned all fit the bill for keeping my head above water in jobs I enjoy I figure one of them will come through in the very near future to back the stress out a little. All of its compromise at some point or other and yes Im keeping my ear to the ground for the perfect job,

Once I dig my self out of my whole new bunch of short term issues I may even have a crack at creating that job if no-one wants to give it to me.

    Dave.
Have you rang Steve at Lifestyle 4WD in Morley.
I heard he no longer has a specialist Landy spannerman.
Could be in the market for a new slave.
