Yep, seems to be way of the world now. At least they have a 5 year warranty with them. Once that expires, I think it's time to move it on and buy a new one. We've just purchased a new Hyundai, and that's our plan.
With the 5 year warranty and fixed price servicing theoretically at least I know what the car will cost me (excluding petrol) for the next 5 years.

Went to our local Hyundai dealer and was told nope it will be the door switch. Will cost me $500, so said maybe I`ll be back not. Had a look at the door switch yet another modular unit that house all the switches in one unit, but no power to the unit. Relay controls the power before the fuse. No power at the fuse. Ring Hyundai and it will be $500 for a fuse board. Seems to be a set price for most parts at Hyundai. Finally after a two hour trip to Campbellfield and back I have a second hand fuse board in and power windows. Bloke at the wreckers gave me the run around asking for a part number.
it`s just a fuse board I said
Nah mate got to make sure it`s is the right Tucson was the reply. How many different 2005 Tucsons are there?
There is just one.
At this point he got the yard bloke and I got my board. What irks me is the relays being part of the fuse board which is two boards about ten millimeters apart. so would be a epic job to unsolder the bung relay and replace it. Typical cheap to make and not meant to be replaced parts.
