This is how it should be Dave. Not sure if the link will work or not, but I guess it can be copied and pasted anyway.

I am a day late with this thread due to not having internet, because of my job.
I always do my best to either be in front of the telly or earshot of the wireless around 10.50 am on the 11th day of November for rememberence.
Yesterday, I was in a truck on Sydneys M7 and around 10.55 I was looking for one of the truck parking bays they have along there to stop and observe one minutes silence.
Unfortunately the first available one came halfway through the one minutes silence, so I kept going, listening to the wireless and having my thoughts whilst driving.
As I usually do at this time, I did get a bit emotional, thinking of all the young lives lost and the the hell that the ones that survived went through,
fighting for our freedom.
I had just finished drying my eyes when a caller comes on the wireless (Richard Hadley show for those Sydney people) telling us about his son that learnt the trumpet from a young age.
He had the privilege of playing the last post for his 600 odd class mates at a Bathurst school.
Three quarters through the dad telling us this, he started to choke up, which then again got me emotional, having to dry my eyes a second time.
Lest We Forget.
Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Link worked. I would have loved to see that happen on freeways in Australia.

I was standing in the middle of a 200 seat Call centre at 11am.... it was really nice to hear the place go totally silent for the full minute...
This is one of my favourite images that seems to surface around this time of year..
Thanks for the thread Dave...

I'm a member of the local RSL sub branch, but unfortunately, due to illness, I couldn't get to the service. So, I had a private quiet time at 11am.
I parked up for 30 minutes and played this album ''War Stories - Darren Coggan'' One of my favourite tracks from the album![]()

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
