An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 has just been reported in New Zealand.
Not too much news coming out yet.

Mrs is over there at the moment, in the North Island, said it was very strongly felt there, a power pole outside my sisters place in North Island snapped off and her staircase was twisting.
Interisland ferries can't dock at Wellington or Picton, due to wharf damage. Geonet says there was a 3m tsunami recorded off Kaikoura. Very lucky the epicentre wasn't in a city.
