    Rover lovers ... Don't miss out !!!!

sorry if this has been posted all over the forums already .... but ... what an opportunity for anyone that wants an old rover. These cars will be worth ***nothing*** flooding the market with such a quantity of cars all at the same time. So you may be able to get yourself a project for very little

I had a 2000 SC once. Hate to think how difficult it would be to get parts for it now. It wasn't easy in 1978.
    Cheers, Billy.

I reckon I know whose collection this must be. There was a doctor in Canberra who used to collect Rovers (and taps also, why? ). A Rover Mechanic called Brian Wotton from (I think) Seven Hills in NSW used to go down to service them. I think Brian ended up retiring to Canberra and working on those cars.

If it is that guy, then a few of those Rover's belonged to my dad. I came home from being born in hospital in a grey 3L Rover and theres a good chance that the red P5B 3.5 coupe is one I used to drive before getting my licence!

Would love to have time to check out the auction.

Same guy, he would buy every Rover & Rover part that would come up for sale.

a "cut and paste" from another forum.

That would be John Flynn's collection near Canberra. He apparently also collected garden taps and coins and passed away recently, so there may be a tap auction to look forward to! I'd been told by Rover owner friend there were several sheds and a lot of P4s, so that may not be the full extent of the horde. Also P4s are apparently not really in great demand, despite being a well built car, so some of those cars may struggle.

    Looking at this:

There are two other auctions involved - number plates and then parts and parts cars at:
