The authorities should stop pussy footing around with these clowns. This is theft, pure and simple. Any franchisee found guilty of doing it should be charged with theft, compelled to return ALL of the stolen money, and then be sentenced to a bit of time behind bars.

Yet people still claim that people on benefits are dole bludgers or complain about basic wages?
How does a young person get experience , off the dole and earn money when it's cheaper for them to employ students and illegal workers from overseas for half pay , or far far less in the case of fruit farms?
Now let's examine the flow on effect?
Instead of a regional or outer burbs person getting job with basic wage, you now have all that income lost that would have had a large part spent locally, and any that they do spend will most definitely be on te cheapest items available!
You combine the 7-11 scam with what's happening to backpackers and illegal fruit pickers and is it any wonder why regional and rural towns are dying?

Yep disgusting. Did you see that 7-11 canned the panel including Alan Fels it had set up to investigate after this became public because the investigation exposed the truth about what 7-11 was doing and knew about. Time to make an example of the people at the top of 7-11, but I seriously doubt if this government has the integrity to act for ordinary workers.

Too bad that any form of collectivism has been or will it seems be legislated out of existence.

Now that's it's public, and customer with a conscience should boycott the 7/11s to send a message they you can't screw workers over and do so until they clean their act up.

Be alright if they actually do what they say they are doing and make all entities exist in the same rules... Imho

Judging by the behaviour of some business leaders, if they make business and union leaders follow the same rules, that could actually allow a lower standard of business behaviour, not make it better. At least union leaders are supposedly responsible to their members, but some business boards seem to easily ignore complaints from shareholders as they inflate their bonuses and line their own pockets.
