That is great news.
Now you can glower over your glasses at people to great effect.
Also, when you don't want to do something, "I can't do that. I haven't go my glasses."
Went for my yearly eyeball check up yesterday and was told I now need glasses for distance. I have had reading glasses for 15 years ish. I was belly aching to the Mrs about it on the way out of the shopping centre about how I didn't think I needed them and was going to seek a second opinion etc , at which point I stepped onto the up escalator when I was trying to get on the down one! Oooof.
cheers,
D

A few years back my wife suggested I needed hearing aids. We both had our ears tested... guess who is wearing them. NOT ME

I feel your grief, and know it is only a couple of years before I will need the bifocals. But just passed my eye tests with no need for distance lenses yet. One pain I have though is seeing the instrument/steering wheels buttons, instructions etc, but recently came across Hydrotac stick-on Bifocal lenses. Now my sunglasses are bifocal, they just stick on with water so can be transferred to other glasses. I can now see the little arrow next to the fuel pump graphic which tells me which side the tank filler is, and I can see the GPS a lot clearer.![]()
. . . They are'nt cheap, though, you could end up paying a squillion for 'shipping' - almost as much as the glasses...
Be careful where you buy them from.![]()
Mine were only $28.50 AUD delivered including postage, which I thought was reasonable, and to my PO Box which a lot of people won't deliver too!
You should try having trifocals! I have one eye short sighted and one long sighted. Funny thing is I dont need glasses to read. It does assist the glowering at students.

yep the Mrs has trifocals and she reckons they are horrible things and has had a lot of trouble getting used to them she thinks she will be going back to a separate pair of reading glasses.

I can imagine trifocals would be the pits. I just use the bifocals in the cars - missed the step on the Defender getting out first and only time I left them on.
I'm not enjoying the ageing process at all!
