Yes, I'm getting used to it now, as they say practice makes perfect.:D
Chris, I am over it. Life goes on no matter what life throws at you. If you nee to be on Insulin you need to be on Insulin, if you need chemotherapy or radiation for Cancer you need to Do It, if you need to have an amputation, have it because if you do NOT Do It the consequences are you will NOT be here to DO ANYTHING. As you know Chris I have personal experience with it all.
At the end of the day as the "LAND ROVER" saying is "ONE LIFE. LIVE IT". You may not be here to DC O IT tomorrow.
As you know Chris the last experience was 3 1/2 months in hospital & now back in for another stay.
Hey Shane, I think you received enormous support from many people on this forum for all of your health concerns over the last few years. I don't think any of those people told you to "Build a Bridge". I think it was a pretty inconsiderate thing to say quite frankly.
Really sorry to hear that you're back in hospital and hope its all over with soon.
hi Mario,
just to let you know you're not Pat Malone.
a friend of mine got a Xmas message five days ago from his Endo.
he has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
going in for bone scans today to check for any further problems.
they took 20 biopsies on his prostate in a 1-2 hr day clinic procedure....he said he felt a little sore.
I often wonder why sometimes the medicos can't hold back good news like this until after xmas.
some times holding back "Good News" can be life threatening, it can mean time is not spare.
My brother in law, had a prostate problem. He had the usual blood tests for prostate cancer and was given the all clear. He went to see another doctor who told him the blood tests are not 100% accurate and the finger in the bum was a sure way of checking.
They found his prostate very enlarged.
He went to see a specialist and was told he need to have it removed but there was no rush it could wait .
So he went to see another specialist for a second opinion. That specialist rushed him in for surgery as the cancer had reached a critical category and my bro in law didn't have time to spare. They got it in the nick of time, but if they had of gone on the advice of the 1st specialist, then the ending might have been somewhat different.
Possibly the AD's were masking the problems that i and a lot of others experienced with Tramadol. I was recently given the option of Tramadol or others, I took the other.
The human body and mind and the way they react to different things is different for everyone. Since writing the original post i have again experienced some really disgusting side effects of drugs that i was prescribed for an injury.....I grew a third head.
Cheers
Boxhead:p
That's no good Boxhead, hope it sorts it out. Re the third head, I went on a 24/7 ketamine drip, now that's when things start rocking, you have out of body experiences and might see that 3rd head growing on your self like you were watching a movie.
The difficulty to move is something I know first hand, I couldn't get back into my ward, I was stuck at the doorway and my body would not walk through, I was stuck to the floor. I was like this for about 15mins going by what other patients who witnessed it told me. I was on 6 what ever dosage an hour another guy told me a couple of years earlier he got up to 9 an hr ( as doctors weren't sure of this stuff and it was experimental in pain relief at the time ) he ripped the drip out of his arm, he could no longer take it. He refused to have any thing else to do with it since, and warned other patients about this stuff and his experience.
Ketamine users can also develop cravings for the drug. At high doses, users experience an effect referred to as ?K-Hole,? an ?out of body? or ?near-death? experience. Due to the detached, dreamlike state it creates, where the user finds it difficult to move, ketamine has been used as a 'date-rape? drug.
Terrible stuff, but it does relieve pain whilst on it, until you come off. The doctor told me it is not only pain relief, but also give the family some peace whilst I was in hospital on it for a week solid
I was put on Tramadol once...psychedelic nightmares rough ride and was taken straight off
