Yeah i think they might have to back it out from outer harbour when it leaves. I dont think the turning "pool" is big enough

I have never figured out what the pleasure would be in going on a cruise?
Stuck in a relatively small area with thousands of other people (whom you probably find obnoxious) & having the ships staff trying to organise you all the time.
Doesn't seem like fun to me.

PS Sent the daughter on a cruise for her 21st, she had a ball, so maybe something to it for the young?

Looks more like a cattle ship to me. Local rag tourism writers were waffling on about it being great for "families".
That put me off straight away as most of those will probably be the same type as those on a much smaller ship we had a cruise on a few years back. Total ferals and a couple of families were put off the ship in Singapore (I think) because of their behaviour.
Some dads were of the hi-vis fraternity who even wore their uniform in the dining room.

Spent 4 hours waiting for PAX to come off it when the thing was in Freo for a tour.

90% were NOT families. I personally can think of a better way to spend 2.5K for 5 days to get from Singapore to Fremantle.

Everything I heard was that there was 4500 PAX, 2600 Staff, the grog double Perth prices ($12 a Pint here on average), and my tour group (36 PAX from Singapore and Malaysia) reckon the food was awful and always running out.

So no cruises for me, just another long adventure in my 110 next year I think.

I went on a pacific cruise, yes lots of people, can't believe how early people get up to start drink alcohol.

Lots of disgusting eating habits noticed, sort of turned me off. Since it's all you can eat, you see lots of people shoveling it down their throats, some times it doesn't touch the sides . We ended up booking dining rooms and having meals away from the crowds where it was more civilised and you got served a set course.

One thing that always amazes me is at the all you can eat self serve eateries, where you can go back as many times as you wish why people still have to pile excessive mountains of food onto one plate.

I didn't think I would ever go on a cruise again, but a smaller Rhine river cruise through Germany and surrounds is appealing in the future I think.

The closest we ever came to a nautical holiday was looking over the Eye of The Wind when it visited Hobart ages ago.
It looked brilliant, until we saw crew smoking below decks.

Ugh!

Went camping to WA instead.

We did a P and O cruise to Vanuatu and enjoyed it. Ate at the better restaurant (included in the price) went to some shows, had a spa every morning, cruised around meeting people, read a book, hung out in the coffee shop, did a couple of shore tours, including a 4WD climb to the top of a national park in Noumea. Basically it was accommodation, food, entertainment and travel for $100 a day each. No housework or cooking.
We met one retired bloke who was on his 40th cruise. He sits on the website and snaps up last minute bargains.
