    AIR BAGS

My 94 disco has air bags fitted with in the coil springs on the rear, but have had it, all the plumbing is there and in good condition and I am looking at re placing the bags if possible.
Question 1. are they still available and 2 where do I get them .

I recall having the same dilemma some years ago & the cost of individual air bags was more than a kit on Ebay.
Suggest you contact this mob outside of Ebay.

Have you considered converting it to SLS?

Have it on mine and love it.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

And now for the flippant answer...
Being a D1, it should accept the RR Classic air suspension units. (rears)

    - Get rid of the coily thingies..go full Air on the rear. A couple of electric valves, compressor, tiny air tank and manual control buttons for ride height adjustment. Bear in mind that all (?) luxury cars only vary the rears...front suspension should never go down with a load - heavy rear seat PAX or a boot-load of paving slabs.

Or you could go cheeep, and just use two Schraeder air valves mounted somewhere...and use a Servo's tyre air. Or one filling valve and two air-taps.

The other gimmicks of F & R air, such as 'Highway mode' and going low down for 'Entry & Exit' are just that. - If you can't climb up into your 4WD, you should stay in the Rest Home...

You will find that the rubber air bladders are loads cheaper than the airbag inserts, around $100 each from the UK, and life would be the same or longer.

    My 2 Cents worth.
