If going to the London office about 5 hours with a combination of car and train. When am working from Dublin is only 2 hours each way using plane and car. Outward journey on Monday then return Friday so not repeated each day. Still have a 1.5 hour train commute each way when staying in London.

When iI was working it depended were in Qld I was working . If it was any were south of Mackay it was any were up to a 12hr drive in one day & anywere north of Mackay was anywere up to another 8 hr drive. I could work for 1 day up to a week before driving home in same time frame. I do not know how truck drivers can drive the Bruce Hwy week in & week out , at least my trips were only once a month & to different destonations.

Well, I'm retired, so I don't have to do that journey any more.
However, when I travelled by train, it'd be about 1.5 hrs door to door, & when I had a company car, it was about an hour.
I am glad that I do not have to use a car in the city these days, particularly during the last 4 or 5 years, there are gridlocks everywhere, particularly from about 3.30pm onwards. These days, in the mornings, we might be travelling out of the city, when workers are coming in, and the inward traffic is horrendous,....anyone coming in on the Tulla in the mornings might know.

35 minutes by bike including the lovely bike punt ride under the Westgate bridge. Or 20-40 minutes if I take the Disco instead!

I'm semi-retired so I only show up at work when needed to fill gaps in the roster, which is usually one or two days a week. On foot it takes 12 minutes.

At the moment I am door to door 7km from work. So only takes 10 minutes. On the other end of the scale I have taken a hour and a half in the morning and two hours at night. If you take in FIFO then all day one way.

So on two feet 24 minutes or 6?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
