There was a kid at my school in grade 4 who discovered how to tell a 'free' from the outside of the pack. Drove the tuckshop ladies nuts.

    So tell me-
Why don't the authorities have nice solid bars in front of the many Sydney tunnels?
It would seem the obvious thing to do rather than have trucks destroy the whole inside of the tunnel.

Most RTC's don't know (or care) how high their trucks are, and between the headphones blaring doof-doof crap in their ears, and their eyes firmly fixed on their phones, they don't see or hear alarms, either. Of course, if you completely ignore your mirrors, you won't even know if your hoist is going up, too - let alone realise your PTO is still engaged! This is the inevitable result of the transport industry figuring that the only way to profitability is to cut wages for good drivers, and put mongs in driver's seats instead.

Sounds a bit like Uber eats delivery scooter operators. At least they aren’t as big or heavy when out obstructing traffic flow

Didn't know this little line existed. 1/3rd scale, 15" that's been in operation for nearly 100 years. Still running steam locos on a daily passanger service as well as the tourist stuff that is probably what keeps the wheels turning.
