Unless you're a sugar glider like this poor bastard I saw caught in barb yesterday

I used to do a bit of fencing removing barb from fences in glider and bat habitat areas. Replaced it with plain with a few hot wires. Worked a treat. No more little critters stuck in fences.

Correct, but they have worked out a way to get tangled up in the mesh of these newish exclusion fences.

Both Roos and Emus, not sheep or lambs.

    A horrible way to die.

How about those wishing to discuss fencing start a thread on it - this is way off topic and not needed here in this thread IMO.

The thread is called Interesting, Odd or Funny. As much as it's an unpleasant topic, I've learnt a bit.

I grew up on a farm, so I know a bit about barbed wire. I also a bit about bats and I can tell you the bat rescue shelters are full of baby bats whose mothers were impaled on barbed wire fences.
Changing from barbed to strands is the difference between life and death.

Oh, and this is a picture thread, so here's a picture of a cute baby bat named Lucy (not impaled on a barbed wire fence).

Interesting, Odd or Funny PICS Happy for the pics, not the chatter in between - discussion should be elsewhere.

Anyone else here follow the exploits of the 11’ 8 bridge? It claimed one of its biggest victims the other day. Feed number 145 for this bridge since 2008.

Credit to the driver, he damn well near made it...
