The South Coast Line trains stopped at Ernest Junction and passengers moved to a different train to go to Southport and the other half went south to Coolangatta. The train did not have scheduled stops at some of the intermediate stations in the hamlets between Ernest Junction and Coolangatta.I remember the guard walking down the platform at a scheduled stop crying out "Anyone for .........?" and he would alert the engine crew to stop there if anyone requested.
How can it be stripped and no one notice it happening?
