"Suitable for drinking water" [emoji848]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...74718a914b.jpg
Hi,
Nothing wrong with Sodium Hydroxide, it is used in dishwashing powder. Just needs a good rinse, can be neutralized with vinigar poor lemon juice.
Cheers
Sodium hydroxide is a highly caustic base and alkali that decomposes proteins at ordinary ambient temperatures and may cause severe chemical burns. It is highly soluble in water, and readily absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from the air.
From good old Google
Well the water won't care that it's in there, so technically suitable for drinking water going in - sodium hydroxide is easily dissolved in water - it's only the consumption after it comes out that would be an issue...[biggrin]
Wouldn't hurt to help strengthen the gene pool either IMO...
