The flicker was the entire car on fire with flames starting to come out the window that was open. My mate was still busy under it finishing the job off oblivious to the carnage going on. I ran out waving frantically and he ran out from under it as I started to lower the car - do you know how long a car takes to lower off a hoist when it's on fire - bloody ages! Meanwhile he's got an extinguisher and starts trying to put it out (Fruitlessly) The handbrake was off and it was out of gear, so we rolled it off the hoist and outside pretty quick where it burned to the ground in the driveway while waiting for the CFA truck to arrive. Funny thing about that was that we were both members of the local brigade - he was the Captain and I was a Lieutenant so we had sent for the truck at the very start but we didn't half get a ribbing over that one...

Customer was less than impressed but insurance covered it.

At least the spare is readily accessible.

Talking about fires, one of our customers lost two prime movers last weekend,to a fire.
The CCTV caught exactly what happened, looked like an electrical fault in one of them started it.
