In my experience, sign writers have difficulty copying what’s put in front of them.

You mean, they want to correct the errors but to do so will upset the bad-speller client?

Back in my dim past as a young PMG apprentice when everything was sign written either PMG or Commonwealth of Australia (or both) I clearly remember the tea towels, white cotton/linen with a wide red stripe across the centre clearly stating COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA to all and sundry.

Unfortunately ours, and presumably all others in the 'contract', were monogrammed COMMOWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA. Even more unfortunately, though not to be pointed out by the new apprentice, was the fact that the tea towels had been in use for several years and no one had noticed.

    Aaaah! Missing letters.
Reminds me of the West Indian cricketer who had “WeNDy” tattooed on his pecker.
When aroused, it read “Welcome to Jamaica, Have a Nice Day

Reminds me of a few years ago when there was a bloke around the Redcliffe Peninsula who had a set of pins like that and dressed in that exact manner. He would often be seated in a pub or club in a high backed chair so only the legs were visible. It was funny to see the reaction of the unwary, when they got to see the top half, as it was all fairly ordinary looking bloke with long, blond hair.

No, not a ranga, you lot!
