First semi i drove was an R190 inter. Green it was. Had a v6 gm two stroke diesel with a 671 blower and 3 gearsticks, twin 4" donaldsons and boy was it LOUD. Used to pull a low loader with a D6c dozer on it. In 1st gear low low u could get out and walk faster. Great truck. Could get 100 mph+ in top, empty!!!

SubscriberAn absolute POS vehicle with an even greater POS engine driven by an absolute ****ing moron doing his best to destroy the environment and ensure that even more tracks are closed to bona fide off road travelers. With a bit of luck he'll drive off a cliff thus enhancing the collective human gene pool.
Apart from the above, not a problem.

My feelings are hurt.
I should just sell up and buy a prius, right?

Hi,
It is however just the sort of imagery that works against 4WD unfortunately.
"Leave no trace" driving is just not that exciting.
Pity though.
Cheers
In the bloke with the Patrol's defence it's mostly being done on forestry roads with the odd farm track, so no different to how a rally or off road racer is driven, or actually it's more tame.
I would find it impossible not to use that grunt, and having driven a GU ute a lot on dirt, they go sideways at ridiculously low speeds with a stock TD42T. Throw in 700HP....
You can take the boy out of the racer but you can't take the racer out of the boy.
Do I drive like that off road ?
Of course not, I've farmed, I'm an old hippy and have too much respect for the land, but on a forestry road with that amount of grunt.....
I get it, in today's world where more and more places are being locked up due to bad behaviour it could potentially be used against us, and if you want to cover your and our collective arses you film stuff like that on a proper closed course. But people will still see it as bad and anti-social behaviour. sigh.
