My guess it was used as a Push Start buffer for a mate.
Have never seen one of those actually used in anger though. Probably more people get injured by the random throwing of such an object.
I have one here that was found on the side of a road years back & it is partly covered by Sprayed Cement possibly from a Bridge Repair. Usually they have names on them from where they were stolen from but my one is plain, solid core with loops, apart from said cement of course. Wouldn't like to get hit on the bonce with it though.
Just checked & it says RMS Titanic so I wonder whether it is worth a bob or two?:arms::arms:
