We have always had a few of them around but this year there are hundreds and hundreds of them of all sizes and inside where they have never been. Even the geckos won’t eat them..

Am sure they are harmless but they are everywhere and I tend to squash them all over the house and sheds. They are a bit difficult to extract when squashed from floor coverings like carpet! Though some have survived the washing machine.

Just pick them up and throw them outside. These things curl up for protection. Harmless critters

Yup they do curl up, I try to put them outside but as I say there are hundreds of them, they get everywhere and the wife doesn’t like them in the bed!

They used to cause big problems for the suburban trains in Adelaide, trying to climb up the hill to Belair. WHen crushed they make the track super slippery. They installed brushes in front of the wheels to flick them off the track.

Millipedes also stink like buggery when squashed. But weren't we originally talking about Centipedes?


I have always believed those to be poisonous. No not Earwigs, the big buggers.

Here, the black ones get the arse (bloody furriners!) but the red ones are supposedly native to OZ so get left alone &/or placed in the garden Must be ok as now & then I hear a tiny voice fron under the Rosemary Bush
