Here in Adelaide there is a Trailer mounted Merlin in the raw as is that Allison V12.

Ear shattering to say the least. Is owned & operated at shows by some Historical Aviation nutters.

I seem to recall it had an aux. Fan blade fitted to give it a bit of air cooling over the engine & load I suppose.


I actually overheard someone ask post run, why there were no Muffler Boxes fitted? Deeeeeerrrrr, it is an aircraft engine matey.

Maybe he didn't realise what he was looking at?

I totally agree & why I believe having an Ensuite access from the bedroom is really knackers & have never had such a monstrosity.

I would have thought the prop would serve as part of the flywheel
