LEAK LOK! Noah used that. Wasn't that supposed to infiltrate the fitting thread & stop it unscrewing in the absence of Frost Proof Flare Nuts, not to mention making a good flare in the first instance.
There is no substitute for knowing what you're doing correctly.
Installed properly, Fujitsu High Walls were an excellent system & gave very little problems in my experience. ie. Drop of oil behind the flares, pipe alignment without any strain on the flare & stuff like that.
Only for water pipe connections + Teflon Tape applied correctly, & sometimes just the tape but you needed to roughen brass threads otherwise the tape just pulled in & rotated with the fitting.
Roughening the thread also made it easier to wrap the Teflon tape around the thread.
Yes,the ones that have NFI what they are doing.
Oil both sides of a good flare, tighten correctly, never have a worry.
Except after about 5yrs on the outlet flare on a TX on a cold room, but thats because these days the flare nuts are rubbish.
So instead, use a soldered valve, which is actually quicker and easier to fit 99% of times.
Are we off topic agian?
