Simples. All you need is a couple of handfuls of Brighton Light, Cement added to the IC as it starts to melt. Let stand for a couple of hours. Job done.

Do not try this at home or anywhere else, Kiddies.

Check out the poor battler toward the end, he can't afford a modern car.

Rumour has it that, on one of his extended stays in Australia in the early seventies, he actually hosted an edition of This Day Tonight, but it has been lost like a lot of old footage which was erased rather than archived. Such a shame.

On the subject of the incomparable Spike, it is worth listening to some wonderful interviews with him which are posted on YouTube. One in particualr which springs to mind was part of a radio series called "In The Psychiatrist's Chair", in which he was interviewed by Professor Antony Clare. It, and other interviews like it, show what an amazing human being Spike was...

I have a couple of permanent reminders - two scars - of my time with one of those 2 man crosscut saws. I was around 14 years old and using one with my brother. One of us got out of sync, the blade buckled and then being uncontrolled it ran across my leg twice just above my knee. At the time I didn't know just how white a bone is before the blood flows but I quickly learnt. Ouch!!

A good demonstration of why safety chains should be crossed and kept as short as possible.
